Qualifying for a Habitat Home...

TO QUALIFY FOR CONSIDERATION FOR

A HABITAT HOME YOU MUST:

• Reside in inadequate housing

• Have lived in the Payson High School attendance area for 12 months.

• Mortgage signers have a steady income that is less than the 50th percentile of the 2007 AMI adjusted for ADOH grant requirements (a family of 3=$19,200, family of 4=$24,750)

• Have proof of U.S. permanent residence.

• Have an acceptable background check.

• Have an acceptable credit rating.

• Be able to make regular no-interest mortgage payments.

• Grant permission for a home visit.

• Be willing to contribute 300 to 500 hours of "sweat equity".

• Be able to pay move-in costs of up to $2,200.

• Be willing to participate in a Homeowners Association (HOA) and comply with Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs)

• Have a family size suitable for either a 2 or 3 bedroom house.

The current application period runs through May 31, 2008.  (All applications must be received on or before May 31).  All applications are valid for one year only.
