Let us introduce ourselves. We are Children First, a proud sponsor of the
federally funded Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with a goal of quality day care. Beginning Spring 2008
Children First will offer, not require but offer at least SIX, that's
right SIX, S*CCEEDS accredited training hours a year and this will be
offered in at least seven towns throughout Arizona.
We provide cash
reimbursement to Child Care Providers for meals served to children in their
care. The Health & Nutrition Program is funded by the United States
Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The Child
and Adult Care Food Program CACFP has been serving America for over 25
years nationwide, the sponsor Children First is serving and located in the
Pinal, Gila, Apache, Coconino, Cochise, Yavapii and Navajo Counties and has 15 years
experience in the field and is ready to serve you.
All
CACFP rules and rates in Arizona are the same.
Children First will be expanding in 2009 in all
service areas: Pinal, Gila, Apache, Coconino, Cochise, Yavapii and Navajo
Counties.

FY 2008 Training
Theme: Child Care and Wellness
S*CCEEDS accredited training open
to public, however if you are not a Children First Child Care
provider you must RSVP so we can prepare space for you. Trainings
are fun and free! Trainings are fast paced and hands on... jokes,
story telling, roll play and much more. The Child Care and Wellness
training will include information on nutrition, building and
utilizing community partnerships, communication skills and conflict
resolution, and wellness. CONTACT

Additional S*CCEEDS credit online training can be done by viewing
activity page or contacting Children First. (Additional
training is for those who need additional hours, it does not replace
regular required training).

Programs such as DES, DHS, CCRR, S*CCEEDS, Early Intervention, Book
Adventure, WIC... are here to help child
care providers have quality child care homes. If you want
information or a phone number for any of these programs call us, we
will be happy to share information and resources.

Please donate money, supplies or
your time to a great non-profit agency such as Children First.
Children First is looking for donation money to help support quality
child care homes in our community. If you are interested in donating to
a 501(c)(3) non-profit, please consider Children First. You can send
your check or money order to Children First. You may also request a copy
of our 501(c)(3) status for your tax records as a donation to a
non-profit.
Children First could also use supplies for child care homes, such as,
but not limited to safety latches of all shapes and sizes, fire
extinguishers, smoke detectors, first aid kits or supplies -- for more
items please contact us. If you wish to purchase and donate this items
you can send them to Children First as well.
Children First uses volunteers in many areas and we are always looking
for extra volunteer help. This is not only a rewarding experience, but
will also help to increase the quality of child care in our community.
