Community Services We Provide: We set up and conduct training activities for our members, donate $3,500 to $4,000 yearly to local non profit organizations, participate in local events, make comfort quilts for others and a wide variety of fun stuff throughout the year!
Each year, The Strawberry Patchers create a large bed-sized quilt with the intent to sell raffle tickets and award that quilt to a lucky winner. The money The Strawberry Patchers collect from the raffle ticket sales goes toward purchasing the fabrics and batting to make the 200+ quilts that the group makes every March.
In addition, they donate funds to local organizations; the Pine Strawberry Archeological & Historical Society, The Pine Strawberry Food Bank, Pine Strawberry Firefighter's Assoc., Tonto Rim Search and Rescue, Strawberry Elite, Pine Strawberry Christmas Angel, Isabelle Hunt Memorial Public Library, Gila County Sheriff's Posse, Sweet Charity and the Salvation Army. In 2005, over $4,000 was donated to the above mentioned organizations.
