Organization History:

St. Vincent de Paul has operated the Food Bank of Payson for over 12 years. This project receives financial assistance from various sources, such as, churches, businesses, organizations, private donations, grants, fundraisers & FEMA. Donations are an essential part of the continued success of this program and are welcome, and greatly appreciated, any time throughout the year.

Community Services We Provide:

St. Vincent de Paul operates the Food Bank of Payson. We provide emergency food boxes to the needy. The Food Bank is open three days a week—Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.—distributing 80 to 100 food boxes per week.

#1  ASSIST IN FILLING FOOD BOXES

This position involves ‘one-on-one’ contact in filling food box requests for individuals who come to the Food Bank for emergency assistance, wherein the volunteer selects & boxes a variety of foods that meets the needs of the recipient. If you enjoy working with people of all walks of life — we'll provide the hands-on training for this position, if you'll provide the "Smile".

Volunteer assistance is needed on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m./each day. Individuals interested in volunteering their service to this program, once or twice a month (or more often, if desired) — please call either of the contact individuals listed below.

#2  ASSIST IN RE-STOCKING FOOD SHELVES

If you're into light exercise, muscle tone & are an early riser... jog over to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank by 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday mornings and help us re-stock our shelves. If you're not any "early riser", we also stock shelves at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday & Thursday afternoons.  We need energetic people with friendly dispositions.

If this gets you going & you want to add a little lifting to your exercise program ... leave us your name & number and we'll give you a call to come in & help us 'unload food trucks' once or twice a month!  For this, you must be in reasonably good physical condition.
